Frequently Asked Questions

Breathwork is a practice that uses different breathing patterns to bring greater awareness to the body, mind and emotions. Depending on the technique, it can influence your physiological state and create space to notice what’s going on beneath the surface - while building greater capacity, self-awareness and resilience
In each session, we’ll start with a check-in, personalised coaching, reflection and intention setting. I’ll then guide you through meditation and breathwork, followed by a period of rest and integration. We’ll finish by talking through your experience, reflecting on anything that came up and discussing any practices or next steps that feel supportive
-
Absolutely! No previous experience is needed - sessions are guided throughout and adapted to you
-
No, breathwork is not a replacement for therapy or medical support, though it can work beautifully alongside both
-
Yes, sessions are guided online and last around 90 minutes. You’ll need a quiet, comfortable space where you can lie down (on a yoga mat, bed or similar) with your laptop and speakers or headphones
You may also want an eye mask, blanket and journal nearby. Candles or incense are completely optional, but if they help you create a space that feels good to you, go for it
If you’re based in London and would prefer an in-person session, we can arrange that - just let me know when we chat!

Breathwork can be a powerful practice, but it isn’t suitable for everyone or every situation. Different breathing techniques can have different physiological and psychological effects, so I take your health and circumstances into account before we work together
Before your first session, you’ll complete a form so I can identify any relevant contraindications and make sure the practices we use are appropriate for you. If you have a medical or mental health condition, are pregnant, take regular medication or are unsure whether breathwork is suitable for you, you may need to speak with your healthcare professional before participating
I’ll always explain what we’re doing, you’re in control of your experience throughout and you can pause or stop a practice at any point
You can find the full list of contraindications below
-
Breathwork can bring emotions, memories or sensations to the surface, but you will be supported and sessions are always guided gently and safely
If anything that feels difficult comes up, you remain in control throughout
